Pumpkin Fun

How to celebrate the Autumn season:

1) Apples grow best in Autumn and the trees turn orange. Split an apple into quarters and use it to stamp leaves onto a piece of paper using orange, red and yellow paint.

红色。hóng sè。red

橙色。chéng sè。orange

黃色。huáng sè。yellow

2) Cut the top off a pumpkin and let your children take turns to scoop out the insides, with help. Place it into a tray and let them feel the seeds and pulp.

Pumpkin= nán guā

3) Being quite careful, because it’s heavy, use another pumpkin as a pass the ball type game. Then prepare some bottles to knock over using this pumpkin.

Bottle= píng zi

4) Buy small plastic spiders and hide them around the room. Once the children have found them sing the Eensy Weensy spider song together:

Spider= Zhī zhū
