It was so much fun to learn and sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in Chinese.

The children loved sticking tiny stars on their space pictures (wrapping paper!).

The children explored the difference between bigs stars and small stars. I used two ribbon bows, stuck together back to back of various sizes to demonstrate big and small.

We learnt “Dà Xīng Xīng” means big star and “Xiǎo Xīng Xīng” means small star. In mandarin the X sound is pronounced most to “sh”.
